“Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.” (Hebrew 13:5)
The children of Israel experienced the wilderness right after they left Egypt. Also, the disciples had a wilderness experience after Jesus was taken and crucified. Wilderness experience can be frightening, we can feel alone, confused and fearful. The facts staring at us can echo hopelessness and dead end. Wilderness is a dry place, where there is no water and death looms around. In this place things look impossible and the enemy is quick to take advantage of us, using the opportunity to ride our emotions, telling us we are on our own and we are about to go under.
The devil is liar! Feelings come and feelings go but the Word of God stands forever and ever. My friend, you may be going through a wilderness experience in an area of your life today like the Israelites or like the disciples. No matter how the situation looks or feels please remember, You are not alone, the Lord has promised never to leave nor forsake you. And you are not about to go under, weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. God is able to transition you from the wilderness into your promise land! Jesus is able to take you from death into life! The Lord is able to fast forward you from defeat into your greatest victory! Only Believe.
Father thank you that you are my shepherd, I will fear no evil. The Lord shall preserve my soul. I declare that death is swallowed up in victory. With the blood of Jesus I cancel untimely death over my life. Let every seat of death prepared for me be consumed by the fire of God. Jesus is my resurrection. I shall live and not die. I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. I have victory over every battle in my life. I am who God says I am, I can do what God says I can and I have what God says I have. The Lord shall supply my every need and He has set an open door of life, increase and progress before me, by faith I declare ,that my time of great testimony has come in Jesus might name. Amen!
Reflection: "But he led his own people like a flock of sheep, guiding them safely through the wilderness. He kept them safe so they were not afraid; but the sea covered their enemies." (Psalm 78:52-53)
