” But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:
22 It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:21-23)
I thank God for His mercy and steadfast faithfulness. A rock solid and unchanging God, yet out of His immeasurably mercy He constantly provides His children with new opportunities, new second, minute, hour, week, year and on and on it goes. He is truly the God of a second chance and more! However even though by default, God is “El Shaddai”, a God of more than enough, who is able to do exceedingly beyond what we can ask or imagine, yet, by choice we can limit Him. For example, do you know that what ever has our attention will dominate us? if we focus on yesterday’s failures and past mistakes they will hold us to ransom, fear and negative mindset will prevent us from starting afresh, moving forward into new possibilities with God and prevent future success.
What has your attention this New Day and a start of a New Week? I encourage you to stop for a moment and cross check it with what the Bible tells us to do if want to REAP from the goodness of God. “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].” (Philippians 4:8). So, be encouraged, forget the problems of the past and look out for the new opportunities God is setting before you this week. Press into the great things God has planned for you!
Prayer confession: Father thank you for your mercy and faithfulness towards me. You have washed my past failures away from my borders with the Blood of Jesus. And you have set before me a new day and new opportunities. Bless the Lord on my soul and all that is within me praise His holy name! For He has forgiven all my sins and heal all my diseases. My life is redeemed from destruction, I have no fear of failure. The Lord has favored and crowned my life with His loving kindness and compassion. The Lord is my portion and inheritance, He shepherds me with goodness and mercy into pleasant places and rich heritage. He satisfies my mouth with good things and my youth is renewed daily. The work of my hand is established and my children are blessed. I am walking in the realm of glory everyday manifesting and advancing the kingdom God every where I go. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Reflection: "Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long.18 For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off." (Proverbs 18:17-18)
