“The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” (Psalm 34:19).
Jesus came to rescue us from sin and it’s ravages such as poverty, lack, sickness, diseases and every one of life’s problem. He came to deliver us from death and give us an Abundant Life – His own Life. ( John 10:10). However, If we want to enjoy this abundant life that God has provided for us, one crucial fact we must allow to sink in deeply into our understanding, is that, as believers and followers of Jesus Christ, problems are not going to disappear from our shores.
As overcomers in Christ, we must learn how to take our eyes off the problems in our lives and focus our eyes on Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2). We have to remember that God is in control and greater than every situation in our lives. For example, Lazarus was a believer and a friend of Jesus yet, he faced the worst attack, death. His family and the whole town taught it was the end of Lazarus. But God showed up in a big and miraculous way in his life. God revealed Himself as the Lord over all circumstances and even death, He called Lazarus back to life after four days in the grave. (John 11:1-44)
Whatever maybe the situation with you right now, don’t allow your circumstances to limit the power of Holy Spirit in your life. Remember that God is in control, take your eyes off your problems and expect a miracle from God.
Prayer confession: Father I thank you that you have taken me from the miry clay and have planted my feet on the solid rock of Christ. My life is hidden in Christ, no problem of life can take me under, because the greater one is in me. I am bigger than lack, depression, sickness, diseases and every mountain confronting me. In Jesus Name I command every mountain hindering my breakthrough to be cast into the sea. I declare by faith over every problem and affliction that I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. I receive resurrection power in my finances, body, family and every dead situation in my life. Thank you Father that as I continue to walk by faith, renewing my mind and confessing your word and walking in obedience to You, I will witness your miracle hand in my life and family. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Reflection : "Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." (Romans 8:35 and 37)
