Attitude Determines Altitude

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” (Romans 4:18)

There is a saying that goes, “Attitude determines your altitude”. A very true saying indeed because our attitude towards an obstacle says a lot about our character. It reveals how much we are worth on the inside, and before God, it demonstrates our level of faith. The attitude we display in the waiting process ultimately positions us to receive from God. When we are confronted with adversity or any negative situation beyond our ability to resolve, it is an opportunity to tap into the unlimited resources of God if believe the report of the Lord.

The Bible says, because Abraham believed in the Lord when it looked hopeless, he became a recipient of God’s favor, bearing a miracle child when he was almost 100 years in age . On the other hand, the adult generation of Israelites that left Egypt, lost the favor of God and so failed to inherit their blessings from God because of wrong attitude of unbelief, moaning and whining. (Numbers chapter 14). Attitude determines how far we will go in life!

Beloved, no matter the circumstances you are facing today. Believe in the Lord and rebuke fear! Cast down those thoughts and imaginations that don’t line up with the Word of GOD. And expect God to favor you, because He is limitless beyond our wildest imaginations. He is a miracle working God!

Reflection: "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7)
