“….Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” (Hebrews 12:2).
Having a dream is great, desiring success is a wonderful, but all that says is, there is potential for something great on the inside, the ‘BIG IF ‘ is, are you willing to step out in faith and pay the sacrifice for it? Success comes with hard labour. Someone once said, to be successful you have to choose your suffering and pay the price. Yes! Even God in His desire to see the world saved had to paid a heavy sacrifice, our salvation cost God His only Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)
As much as God desires for to do great things, success won’t fall from heaven but we will have to wholeheartedly work at it. Again, even Jesus, had to set the ‘Joy’ of His dream before Him in order to accomplish His mission in this world. You have to set goals for that dream, set godly values and priorities around the goals, endure hardship, maintaining the right focus not taken short cuts or buying into the enemy’s pressure to quit when the going gets tough.
Every meaningful dream will encounter some resistance at one point or another, but obstacles are temporary. Paul calls them a ‘moment’s affliction’ in comparison to the Joy God has waiting for you, if you are willing to press in and press on to your dream. (2 Corinthians 4:17). Be encouraged in knowing that, every obstacle on your journey is an opportunity to experience the hand of God, uplifting you from impossibility to possibility because faith in God will move every mountain out of your way!
Thank you Father for your plan for my life. My destiny shall not be aborted by any force or means. Every mountain obstructing my view and blocking the passage to my mission, be uprooted and cast into the sea in Jesus name. I refuse every temptation to compromise on godly values in accomplishing my dream. I will not operate by the methods and standards of the world. The life of God is in me, the favor of God is on me. I prophesy to my life, arise from every debris, be loosed from every shackle, I receive beauty for all my ashes, I declare my time has come.I am an overcome and more than a conqueror in all things. In Jesus Name. Amen!
Reflection: "For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever." (2 Corinthians 4:17-18)
