And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” (Mark 5:34)
As believers we get asked this question a lot, “If God is so good, loving and powerful why doesn’t He respond to the needs of people who are starving and dying because of lack around the world?” Really? What more can God do after giving the world His best? God already gave us everything, He gave us Jesus. (John 3:16). The problem is that, the world is need focused but God responds to faith. Faith is the currency of heaven. If we want to deal with God we must move beyond the natural into the supernatural, ‘The Faith Zone’ (Hebrews 11:1)
In the Scripture above, there were many people in close proximity, pressing around Jesus but we are not told that any of them received from Him except for this unclean, poor and weak woman. By traditional standard of that day, as an ‘unclean woman’ she was not qualified to be in the public place and more so, daring to touch a Rabbi, Jesus. But You see, this woman was fed up of living an oppressive and tormented life, she became desperate to receive her deliverance from Jesus! In fact, she made up her mind to receive her miracle, before she left her house. (Mark 5: 28). And so, she rejected every lie of the devil, stepped out of the natural zone, stepped through the supernatural door – Jesus, and she took her blessing! (Mark 5:25-34). Faith takes. Faith is the currency of God. All things are possible to those who BELIEVE.
Prayer Confession:Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and mercy. Thank you for making me a new creation, a partaker of your divine promises. I am ever grateful for the privilege to come boldly to your throne room in the name of Jesus and request for my needs by faith. I refuse fear and worry. I believe the Word and I walk by faith not by sight, the victory of calvary is already mine by faith. You are a covenant keeping God, I live in covenant consciousness daily. I have a supernatural life that is always victorious and so I refuse to be weary in well doing for in due season my seeds sow will bring forth a bounty harvest. By the grace of Jesus, I am willing and obedient and I shall eat the good of the land. In Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: "For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]." (Mark 11:24)
