“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18).
God is amazingly rich in wisdom. He is so wise that He is able to bring our wisdom and knowledge to zero! (Isaiah 29:13-14). God considers the wisdom of this world as foolishness and nonsense. His ways might be mysterious but they are profoundly simple. And so often because of the simplicity of God’s supernatural wisdom we miss out on His unlimited resources for us. Many of us are too wise in our own eyes.
In Matthew 17:24-27, Jesus had a need; He needed to pay His and the disciples’ taxes. Peter most probably was expecting that, Jesus will instruct him to take the money from the ministry’s purse. But God wanted to bring the natural man’s wisdom to nothing. Jesus, decided to use a supernatural solution. He told Peter, that the money they needed was in a fish. How mysterious! Yet how profoundly simple! Notice that all Peter had to do to receive, was to SIMPLY act on what Jesus told him to do. When Peter launched out in faith, God supernaturally put the money in the first fish Peter caught! My friend, God has a supernatural solution waiting for you too, as you believe and act on His Word by faith. If you do the possible, God will do the impossible for you!
Prayer Confession: Heavenly Father, thank you that your perfect wisdom is available in the foolishness of the cross. In your Word you have laid down sound wisdom for me to progress to the highest height in life. My heart and mind are forever settled on your Word. Your Word has the power to change my circumstances and manifest my destiny. I have perfect peace as I put my trust in your Word. Father, thank you for giving me knowledge and supernatural insights into impossible situations. As I act on your Word, I expect supernatural intervention, divine health, provision, protection and promotion . I win in all endeavors through the wisdom in your word. In Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: "Does not my word burn like fire?” says the Lord. “Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?" (Jeremiah 23:29).
