“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27).
When we are Armoured with Peace we will be able to Stand Strong. We will be steadfast and be able to withstand pressure. Even more than that, not only will we be able to resist the forces of darkness coming against us, but we will be in a position of authority to walk over them!
In this End-Times we must learn how to become invulnerable to Satan’s attacks and strategies! It is obvious our world needs peace. There is trouble on every side. And people are searching for peace in different wrong places. But it is we, the Believers in Jesus Christ, who have the peace the world is looking for. Prophet Isaiah was used by God to prophesy about the coming saviour of the world about 700 years before Jesus was born;
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor,[a] Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6). And when Jesus was born the angels proclaimed His birth saying the same thing; “Peace and Goodwill to all mankind.“ (Luke 2:14).
Jesus is the only one that govern people, nations and the whole of creation with true and everlasting peace. Because, the truth of the matter is that, from the beginning of creation, God never intended for man to lack Peace. Adam and Eve enjoyed total peace with God and between each other. Every one of God’s creation, including all the animals and the environment were in perfect peace and harmony with one another. There was no hate, discord, enmity or violence until Adam and Eve fell into sin.
It was sin that brought separation between man and God. Peace was lost when man was separated from God. And that separation from God opened the door for hate, violence, bloodshed and death. But God planned to restore peace back to man. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to the world, to destroy the power of sin and the works of the devil. Jesus, through the CROSS, reconciled man back to God! Jesus purchased our PEACE with His own Blood on the Cross!
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.” (Isaiah 53:5) Amp.
Through Jesus Christ we are connected back to God and Peace. For to know and to have true peace is to be one with God. Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”
Therefore, it is very important that we strengthen our relationship with God, by spending quality time in the Word of God and building out lives on the Word. Because the Word of God is the only foundation we can build on that will stand when life throws a storm at us. Any other ground that we try to build our lives on will sink and collapse when the storm of life comes against it. But, when we choose to be a doer of the Word, we are building our lives on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. And Jesus, the Prince of Peace, will hold us up against every storm of life and give us the victory!
Prayer Confession:Dear Father thank you for your gift of peace in my life. Thank you that your plans for me are good, even in this troubled End Times season. I shall not fear the evil one for the Lord is the strength of my life. Jesus, I committed my heart to your Word which is able to build me and uphold me against trials and the storms of life. I declare in Jesus name, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want for anything good. The Lord has anointed my head with oil and in the presence of the enemy the Lord will satisfy me with good things. I shall tread upon the serpent and scorpion nothing will harm me and my family. But we shall serve the Lord with joy and gladness all the days of our lives. Lord, I commit my life, time , talent and treasure to you. Use me in this End-Times to impact many lives for your kingdom. In Jesus name. Amen.
