Trust in God for Your Provision

“And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19).

The World’s mentality about success and wealth is hoarding and accumulating things. But God’s method is sowing and reaping. What a man sows he will reap. (Galatians 6:7). Even the life of Jesus is a demonstration of this. Jesus had to lay down His life as a seed to reap harvest of souls. (John 12:24).

Many times Christians quote the above passage expecting God’s provision. But many forget the thread of covenant relationship in this message. Paul in this passage was writing to Christians who had come into partnership with him, and gave sacrificially to God’s work. By giving to Paul they had entered into covenant relationship with God. Because their giving enabled Paul to preach the good news and set people free Satan and the works of darkness in their lives.

In covenant a relationship your weakness is met by the strength of your covenant partner. So also, as Born Again believers, by the virtue of our covenant relationship with God, we have direct access to everything belonging to God. Just as God has direct access to all that we possess  as well. The Bible says, don’t become weary in well-doing, because you will reap a good harvest in due season, if you don’t quit!. (Galatians 6:9). God is faithful!

My friend, regardless of the needs in your life today, the Lord does not want you to be worried, or anxious, nor to focus on the financial reports of this world. The world’s system is limited but God’s resources are supernatural and limitless.

Prayer Confession: Father thank you that, You are a covenant keeping God. You are forever faithful to meet my needs. I will not fear or be anxious but trust in your Word. As I grow in the knowledge of your Word I will make my way forward and have good success in life. I will not be weary in well-doing for in due season I will reap a good harvest. Lord I thank you by faith, for your abundance and supernatural supply of every need in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen!

Reflection: “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good[a]success.” (Joshua 1:8).

I have learned that when I give God takes care of my needs. I enjoy sowing into good ground, ground that spreads God’s Word to the unsaved. Before that I was worried about my finances and that caused me to become greedy. But God taught me that He would take care of me, as I gave I began to see Him provide.

    • Amen! God is faithful to keep us when we are obedient.
Thanks sis for sharing that testimony! Have a wonderful day. Blessings and more!
