“..For I am the Lord who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26).

One of the redemptive names of God is “Jehovah Rapha” , meaning “The LORD our Healer”. Under the old covenant God made it clear that part of the benefit of their covenant relationship is to be their healer. (Exodus 15:26). And they enjoyed the privilege. There was not one feeble in their tribes through their forty years journey in the wilderness. God supernaturally sustained over 3 million people in the wilderness for 40 years!

Under the new covenant, as believers in Jesus Christ we have become the seed of Abraham and have also entered into blood covenant with God and every promise made to Abraham is ours. In fact under the new covenant it is even better, not only are we redeemed from the curse (Galatians 3:13), at the last super, Jesus ushered in the new covenant, by offering us His Body and His Blood. (Mark 14:22-24). By this act, Jesus gave us His very own Body and Blood.

That is why the Bible says we are new creation in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are sons of God, created in the image and the likeness of Christ. (1 John 3:2). Ephesians talks about the mystery of our new creation as “bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh”. Meaning we are ONE with Christ! Just like Eve came out of Adam, we, as new creation came out of the incorruptible seed of Christ, the WORD of God. (1 Peter 1:23).

As born again believers, God gave birth to us with His Word of Truth.(James 1:18). But many times believers put themselves in bondage by wrong confession. Under the old covenant, Joshua and Caleb looked at the giants and declared “We are well able” they confessed the covenant promises God made to them. (Numbers 13:30; Numbers 14:8). And the Lord preserved their physical strength for 40 years. They were just as strong as the day Moses sent them out to go spy the promised land and they were able to possess their inheritance. (Joshua 14:11).

My friend, what are you speaking over your needs? Remember we are ONE with the Lord, your body is the temple of God and so it is impossible for sickness to reign in the Lord’s body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God gives us the choice like the children of Israel, to choose whose report to believe and what to confess.

Prayer confession: Heavenly Father, thank you that I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord I ask you to forgive me of known and unknown sins in my life. Father, open my eyes to any thing in my life displeasing to You. I take the shield of faith and quench every arrow of sickness and disease in my body. I put on the belt of truth. I command any disease, virus, germ in my body organs to die at the root in Jesus name. Lord, I ask for a replacement of any organ or parts damaged in my body. I confess by the faith of Christ, I am a new creation, and every part of my body is functioning in perfect order. My body is the temple of God, the Life of God is in me. I am an over comer, I have overcome by the blood of Lamb and the word of my testimony. I will walk by faith and not by sight and I have a supernatural testimony in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: “My child, pay attention to what I say.Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.” (Proverbs 4:20-22).
